At City Faces this week, the scholars pushed themselves to complete the assigned project to produce balloon rockets that would slide down a rope. The project proved difficult and the scholars worked to no avail. Although they did not successfully design a balloon rocket that slid down the rope, they learned about physical properties such as air thrust and torque on the balloon while attempting to design the project. Towards the end, the session took a different direction as the students decided to create and act out a play. We were glad the students took the initiative and made the most out of their time. Hopefully, we will be more successful with the project next time!
